General
How long does it take to complete a website project?
This very much depends on the scope and complexity of the project. Roughly speaking, a simple website with a handful of pages and features will take around 3-4 weeks, however more complex sites with features such as forms, blog, events, forums, login portals could grow from 2 - 12 months, depending on scope.
Who are the web designers?
We pride ourselves on being a company of two! This means that you will always have direct contact with the person running your project and the person designing and developing it.
Where are you based?
We’re based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, UK.
Do you work with international clients?
Absolutely! We currently have clients in Europe and the UK, America and Canada, and thanks to our straightforward communication approach using Trello, we’re able to work with people all over the globe, no matter what your time zone is.
Design and Development
What services does your web design agency offer?
We provide a range of services including website design, development, SEO optimisation, and maintenance.
Do you build or maintain Wordpress sites?
No. We choose to use Statamic and other CMS platforms which we feel provide a better, more flexible experience for both developers (us) and ongoing editors (you and us) of the site.
Can you redesign an existing website?
Yes, we specialise in redesigning existing websites to improve their look, functionality, and performance. We just need to ensure it's built in a technology that aligns to our expertise!
Will my website be mobile-friendly?
Yes, all our websites are designed to be responsive and mobile-friendly, ensuring they look great on all devices.
SEO and Maintenance
Do you offer hosting services?
Yes! We can securely host your website for you, on an ongoing basis.
What kind of maintenance do you offer?
We provide ongoing maintenance services including updates, backups, security checks, and technical support to ensure your website runs smoothly.
Do you support websites that you haven’t developed yourselves?
This will depend what the website has been built in and if they align to our expertise (see HERE for the frameworks and programming languages we use). If we’re a good match then sure, we’d be happy to discuss working together.
Payments and Contracts
What are your payment terms?
We ask for 60% upfront, then a further 20% upon sign off of the final design and the remaining 20% when the build is complete and prior to launching your shiny new site!
How much will my website cost?
This is a tricky one as it’s so dependant on the scope of the individual project. Once we have discussed your requirements in a little more detail we’ll be able to give you a rough estimate of what the cost could be. We agree a fixed cost with agreed milestone payments. Do you offer any guarantees?
We are committed to your satisfaction and offer a satisfaction guarantee on all our services. If you're not happy with the final product, we'll work with you to make it right.
Contact and Support
Do you offer ongoing support for websites once launched?
Yes! We offer ongoing support subscriptions that allow you to choose the level of support you’ll need on an ongoing basis to ensure continuous improvement of your website/app. Read more on these HERE.
Can I book a meeting with you to discuss my project?
Sure, we understand that from time to time it’s nice to pick up the phone. We begin all projects with a consultation call to make sure we’re a good match for each other. The project will then be managed via Trello however, if you feel the need to speak to us we’ll get on a call to touch base.
How do you communicate throughout a project?
Good communication can be the make or break of a project and that’s why we make it one of our key priorities! We use Trello to manage all of our projects and communicate with clients. Our clients love how easy this is and how it allows for everything project related to be kept in one space.
What are your business hours?
Our business hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. We are closed on weekends and public holidays.
